Sir,

            With due regards I beg to state that I have been fined Rs.50/- on charge of having quarreled with a class-mate of mine. Kindly permit me to explain my position fully.

            One Sept. 4, 20…., when I came to the college I was in an unusually serious mood due to my father’s illness. My class-mate, Suresh, started cracking jokes at me . I could not tolerate jokes and asked Suresh to keep his mouth shut. This irritated him and he abused me. I lost my temper and gave him blow on his nose.

            Sir, I did not want to injure Suresh. I have always been well-behaved with all my class-mates. Whatsoever I did, was in a fit of temper. I beg your pardon for having misbehaved with him and request you to remit my fine. I assure you that I will never give you a chance of complaint against my behavior in future.
