Rains in summer are always welcome. However, rains in winter are not always a very welcome phenomenon. To get wet in the rain in winter is like being put in the freezer. No one likes getting wet and chilled to the bones.

It was a December day. The sky was overcast. A strong wind was blowing. People were shivering even in their woolen clothes. Towards the afternoon it began to drizzle. Soon it began to rain heavily. The strong wind continued to blow. Roads become slippery and muddy. They were deserted. There were few vehicles on the roads. They splashed water and mud as they went on their way. There were no customers in the shops. As a matter of fact, nobody liked to come out in the biting cold. Those who were caught in the rain were trying to find a suitable shelter in order to escape from the cold and rain. Those who got wet could be seen shivering in the cold. Most of the people kept indoors and sat around the fire.
