Your friend is very good at cricket. He has played at district and state level from school. Now he wants to join a professional club. His parents are reluctant to grant him permission.

With your partner discuss:

• Why his parents are reluctant to permit him.

• What he should do to convince his parents.

Candidate B:  You are right but sometimes parents don’t support this kind of aspirations.

Candidate A:  True this has happened with our friend Mohan. He is very talented cricketer but his parents are reluctant to grant him permission.

Candidate B:  He is looking frustrated these days because of this. His parents feel that Sports is not a good career to pursue. They think he will spoil his career in cricket.

Candidate A:  His parents are worried because they love him so much but they should take care of his wish as well.

Candidate B:  His parent needs to be guided accordingly only then they will let him join professional cricket.

Candidate A:  You are right. Let’s talk to his parents and try to convince them.

Candidate B:  We will take help of our cricket coach as well.
