The Recess Period

1. It is not easy for students to sit in the class continuously for eight periods.
2. They want rest. Not only the students but also the teachers need rest. The recess period is eagerly awaited by everyone in the school.
3. During recess, many students go to the school tuck shop for cold drinks or tea or bread pakoda or smosas.
4. Some like to drink juice. It is also available in our school. Some go to the school playground to play various games.
5. Some sit in the shade of trees to do justice to their lunch boxes. Teachers go to the staff room.
6. Tea or coffee is served to them. Some have their light lunch.
7. Some teachers as well as students visit the library to read newspapers and magazines or to get books of their choice issued.
8. There is perfect peace in the library. Some students sit in the class to do homework read books or prepare themselves for a test. There are queues at the five taps for water.
9. Some go to the bathroom as soon as the bell rings. Everyone hastens to his class to answer the roll call and sit for the rest of the four periods.
10. Teachers too go to classes to take periods. Thus, the recess is the most wanted period in a school. It is always refreshing.
