My Naughty Younger Brother

1. We have a small family and live in our three-room set. My younger brother is the darling of my parents.
2. I too love him. He is a naughty boy of seven. He plays clever tricks on me.
3. He picks up my pen or notebook unnoticed. I am looking for it.
4. Then I remember him. He comes laughing at me. He says that I gave it to him a short while ago.
5. I know he is lying but I am happy to get it in order to finish my homework. Sometimes he starts crying.
6. Mother comes shouting at me as if I had said something annoying to him. He starts making faces at me standing behind Mother.
7. He brings toffees of chocolates to give to me but puts them in his mouth as soon as I put my hand forward.
8. He only tries to annoy me. He is good at heart. Whenever I fall ill, he looks after me and helps me in all the ways possible.
9. Despite his clever tricks I like him and call him, ‘my naughty loving brother’.
10. I know that he will mend his ways when he grows up.
