10 Lines on ” The Thirsty Crow” Story

1. It was a hot summer day. A crow was very thirsty. It flew here and there in search of water, but could not find it anywhere.

2. After almost an hour of flying the crow became very tired and sat down on a tree. Its eyes, however, continued to search for water.

3. The crow felt very happy when it saw a jug kept near a house.

4. It flew to the jug and peeped in.

5. Ah! there was water in it but the level was too low.

6. It tried very hard to drink the water but its beak just could not reach it. It was really disappointed.

7. The crow was wise and clever. It did not give up hope.

8. It thought hard and soon hit upon a plan. It collected a few pebbles and started putting them in the jug, one by one.

9. The water level in the jug kept on rising. At last the water rose to the neck of the jug.

10. The crow was very pleased. It drank the water to its hearts content and flew away.
