Subject : No medical facilities for a million people
Sir,
I want to draw attention of the concerned authorities that for Sangam Vihar and its surrounding areas, there area no facilities for getting treated in a government hospital. Isn’t it quite surprising that about a million residents of the area are deprived of affordable, proper treatment because of it ? All the emergency cases have to be rushed to the civil hospital at a considerable distance. And this hospital too, is only in name because it does not have even very simple amenities, that a modern hospital should. Most people are forced to get themselves treated by quacks !
The problem can be easily solved by ‘provincialising’ the local Hamdard Hospital and Research Centre to meet the needs of this area. The move will earn deep gratitude of the general public of the locality.”
Hope you are kind enough to publish my above letter in your paper.
With regards,
Yours faithfully,
Sandeep Acharya
