10 Lines on “A Naughty Pair” Story

Outline:
Little boy…always discontented…had plenty of toys…wanted his brother’s toys…took baby’s ball to park. Cow chewing grass… inquisitive… ate up the ball…boy in trouble with his father. The next day went to the park…blamed the cow…sick… indigestion. Both cow and boy resolved to be happy with what they had.

Story:
1. Once upon a time, there was a little boy called Rahul, who was usually a good boy but always longed for the things he did not have.

2. So one day, even though he had plenty of his own toys, he stole his baby brother’s ball and went off with it to a nearby park.

3. Unfortunately, there was a very inquisitive cow there chewing grass, and when she saw the strange round object she opened her mouth and swallowed it.

4. Meanwhile, Rahul’s baby brother was screaming his head off for his ball and when the truth came out, naughty Rahul got a terrible scolding from his father.

5. Next morning he went back to the park and bitterly blamed the cow for his troubles.

6. However, the cow herself was suffering from stomachache and indigestion and was heartily sorry that she had eaten the ball!

7. From that day onwards, both animal and child learnt to be happy with the things they had-the cow with all the green grass around her and Rahul with his toys and picture books.
