My dear father,
The marriage of my friend Manish, whom you know so well, comes off during the Dussehra holidays. The marriage party will leave for Delhi by train on the 29th of October and will come back on the 31st.
Manish and his parents insist on my joining the marriage party. I have told them that it is possible only if you give me permission. But they are not prepared to listen to my arguments. I, therefore, request you to kindly permit me to join the marriage party. It will also afford me a good chance to visit some of the historic places in Delhi in the company of my friends who are also going.
I hope you will gladly permit me.
