Sir

Two months back I sent a parcel containing a knitted pashmina sweater to my brother through postal services. My brother was at that time fighting against the enemy in the Kargil Sector.

The said parcel did not reach my brother and the postmaster of the concerned area has issued me a certificate to this effect. A photo copy of the said certificate is enclosed with this letter.

The said sweater was insured for Rs. 500/- A photo copy of the necessary receipt is also enclosed with this letter.

I’ll feel obliged if you arrange the release of the said amount of compensation (Rs. 5008 to me at an early date.

Thank you.

Yours faithfully
