Self Help

A very good morning to honorable judges, teachers and my dear friends. I am happy to stand here to give a speech today. The topic that I am going to talk about is Self Help. Self-help means the habit of doing ones work oneself. God has given us intelligence and physical strength. It is our duty to use them properly for our benefit in life. ‘God helps them who help themselves’. Self-help helps in growing one’s strength of mind and building one’s self-confidence and character. It also generates within a determination to go ahead independently towards the goal, without caring to look back for anyone’s help. The lives of almost all the great men in the world tell us how they were able to prosper without depending on anyone’s help or mercy. A great man believes his own right hand and his own intellect to achieve something great in life.

He plans everything beforehand in a methodical way, so that he is not required to depend on anyone’s help. He knows himself how to act properly and how to get things done. So it does not become difficult for him to raise high in life. As a person goes on attempting his efforts repeatedly on a certain thing in order to attain it, he need not worry much; for success will be his in the future. A bold attitude of self-help can make a man perfect and successful in life.
