Science Project on “Calorie Count”, Project Experiment Topics on Energy in Different Forms for Class 8, 9, 10 and 12 Students.

Calorie Count

Materials Required:

  1. Research materials

The human body survives on energy which is measured as calories. However, one should also remember that too much of calories taken in by the body are not good for it.

Differentiate between different variations of the same food and judge the caloric intake of the same.

For instance, measure the amount of calories contained in simple potatoes and then measure the amount of calories in a packet of French fries.

Find out which has more calories and then determine what increases the calorie content in them.

You can try out this experiment with many foods, like between normal peanuts and roasted peanuts, or between normal popcorn and buttered popcorn.

With the help of a published health chart, find out how much calorie intake is healthy for your body according to your age and weight and thereby choose your foods properly and wisely.
