A special assembly was conducted at GSSS-Dhanas to sensitize  the students about the role of girl child. The programme was co-ordinated by Ms. Seema Vice Principal . While speaking on the occasion Mr. Ramesh Kumar Lect. Pol. Science enlightened the students about the importance of girls in our society. A poem recitation competition on the theme Beti Bachao, Beti Padaho was also organized among the students of  senior class. Students participated in this competition with great enthusiasm. As many 30 students look part  in the poem recitation programme.  A play by the tiny tots on the theme “Ek Dadi Ki Pyari Beti” played which was appreciated by everyone. In poem recitation students adjudged as Shabnoor- 1^st ,Shivani-2^{nd ,} Praminder-3^rd position in senior wing and Minakshi-1^st ,Shubham 2^nd ,Shipra-3^rd in Model Wing.  Principal Mrs. Harmeet Kaur gave away the prizes to the winners and appreciated the efforts of students and teachers.
