It is requested that the following a few lines may kindly be published in your esteemed paper.

There is a park in our locality which extends on an area of more than two acres of land but due to the negligence of the authorities it has become more a nuisance than a facility for the people. The park has not been maintained for a long time resulting in its total dilapidation. The trees and bushes have overgrown and some of them uprooted. The green areas are littered with garbage and dirt. The walking path around it, is broken and full of pits. The lighting system is all out of order. The gates and railings are missing and stray cattle and dogs frequent the place. It has become a haven for all anti-social elements to gather there, and hatch their plans of strike.

It is unimaginable why the authorities responsible for the maintenance of the park are sleeping and I hope this letter would help in making them up and rise to occasion and solve this problem of our locality.
