Letter regarding the high-handed behaviour of teacher.

June 7, 2003

To,

The Principal,

Holy Cross Public School,

Darbhanga.

Madam,

I would like to draw your kind attention towards the high-handed behaviour of the class teacher of class VI, Ms. Rani Mukharjee, on June 5, 2003. My son, Krishna, who is sincere and devoted towards his study and has always scored good marks, was beaten mercilessly in front of the entire class for a reason that he had returned to the class five minutes late after the lunch- recess was over. Inspite of his plea that he had a stomach pain and gone to the toilet, Krishna was made a kneel down in front of the whole class and then caned, till he started crying and even asked for forgiveness, but it seemed that Mrs. Mukharjee was possessed by some spirits. When he returned home, he was suffering from high temperature and the doctor mentioned that it was due to shock. My first impulse was to lodge on FIR against your school but since my son has been studying since class I, I decided against it and hence this letter. You are requested to look into the matter and inform me, before that my son will not go to the school. An apology from the concerned teacher is also awaited.

Yours Sincerely,

Rajeev Ranjan
