Letter of Condolence “To a Friend On Death of his Grand Father”
To a Friend On Death of his Grand Father

July 12,200…
Dear Rita, Vinod
We are profoundly shocked to hear the sad demise of your most venerable grandfather. We cannot find adequate words to give vent to the torture in our hearts. He was such a fine gentleman and such perfect philosopher that his loss is not only yours but of the world.
We Wish we could be with you and comfort you in your great sorrow. We know how you adored the great soul. It will give you some tranquility to know that you did your best for him ; that you were at his bedside when he shuffled off the mortal coil ; and that you are not alone in the tremendous and irreparable loss that you have suffered.
We want you to know that there are thousands, if not millions, who personally knew your grandfather and they all heartily sympathize with you in your great bereavement. We all know of your unfailing devotion and admire you for it, and cherish the memory of the great man whose vicinity you enjoyed. Long after today’s grief has passed away, as fortunately it must, you will have as a consoling memory the knowledge of all the you have meant and were to your grandfather.
If only we knew what to say to comfort you ! You must find the comfort within the force of the feeling that you lived a generation with a great man and sipped wisdom at his feet.
Yours sincerely,
Ramesh , Bimla, Mayanka

Dear Ramesh, Bimla and Mayanka,
Your letter of July 12th is a source of great strength to us. It makes us feel that we are not alone in our great bereavement.
Your fine feeling will go a long way to assuage the pain and sorrow that is eating into our vitals since the passing away of our great father.
My grandfather has a great respect for you and he remembered you all almost till the last breath.
His last were : “Do not weep for me. Man neither dies nor lives. I was with you. I am with you. I will be with you.”
Yours sincerely,
Vinod & Rita
Hey,it’s an informal letter so I suggest to use Yours lovingly in complimentary close instead of Yours sincerely..as it’s used in formal letter
