Life is Not A Bed of Roses

This saying explains a hard truth of life. Life is not an easy-going game. It is full of hardships. A person may have plenty of wealth but he may have other problems and troubles to face. Money can’t buy everything. There are many things like happiness and contentment which are beyond the power of money. But it does not mean that life is a bed of thorns. Life is how we take it and make it with our thoughts and deeds. If a man performs his duty honestly and helps the suffering humanity, he can never be unhappy. But sometimes his circumstances make him helpless and discontented. Our life is a mixture of joy and sorrow. It is said that life is a comedy for those who laugh it away but tragedy for those who are serious about it. It varies from person to person. The world is said to be like a looking glass. If we laugh, it laughs. If we frown at it, it frowns back. We should not look at it through coloured glasses. It should be clear and transparent. Therefore a person should always look at the bright side of things.
