Essay, Paragraph or Speech on “What is Love?” Complete English Essay, Speech for Class 10, Class 12 and Graduation and other classes.

What is Love?

Is it the quickening of your pulse when you see someone? Is it the blood rushing to your face when someone calls out your name? Or is it the lovely sensation that leaves your hand tingling after a momentary handshake? Centuries have passed, civilizations have come and gone, yet love has defied definition.

When two individuals are in love it bonds them and connects them in a unified link of trust, intimacy and interdependence. Love is what love does. Love comforts you, keeps you warm, and gives you a reason to smile. It gives you the strength to believe and to hope. It gives you courage and it gives you strength. There are different kinds of love. The love shared between family and siblings which is affectionate, the love shared with friends which is platonic and lastly romantic love that is deep, intense and shared on a very intimate, and physical level.

Love is better defined by what it makes you do. It makes you tolerant. It makes you want to give more than you want to take. It makes you selfless. It makes you surrender. Love is like the wax that embraces the wick knowing fully well that the wick will burn itself and in doing so burn the wax as well. Yet the wax chooses to burn and die a slow death for in total surrender alone does one find fulfilling love. That is what love is. Its total surrender and total sacrifice.
