The Pleasures of a Morning Walk
There is an old proverb, ‘A sound mind lives in a sound body’. Sound body means sound health that depends on several factors. Morning walk is one of them because it benefits health. No diet or medicine can be as effective as the morning walk. It is the best and the cheapest form of exercise. Moreover, it refreshes our body, mind and soul.
Walking is an important form of exercise. Some people walk for pleasure and some walk to maintain good health. Morning walk is not only pleasurable but also refreshing. The atmosphere at morning time is very pleasant and free from pollution and noise. As we step out of the house, we enjoy the cool morning breeze and feel refreshed and energetic.
For city people a morning walk is a great blessing. In big cities, there are open spaces and pats with tall trees where we can enjoy morning walk with people of all ages. In morning, we come across sweet chirping and twittering of birds. They are seen flying-from one tree to another. It appears as if they are giving us a message to stay fresh and active.
Walking is a natural body movement. Thus, it is an amazing exercise for fat and obese people. A brisk walk in the morning keeps us away from sickness and other diseases. Making walk as a pleasurable habit has many health benefits. Risk of cancer, diabetes, high blood pressure and fatness arc reduced. It also helps the person to have a peaceful sleep. Moreover, the life of a person increases. Muscles and bones become strong and remain in good physical shape. It keeps us happy and active throughout the day.
The fresh air that we breathe in while walking in the morning purifies our nerves. It also gives us the delightful peace and quietness. In the morning hours, there is no traffic on the road and hence, we feel calmness and peace everywhere. If we find a grassy area, then morning walk becomes more meaningful and enjoyable.
Thus, there are countless benefits of morning walk. All that we are required to do is to become an early riser to welcome the rising sun by going outside the house. We must not forget that morning walk is the cure of many diseases. if we cultivate a habit of morning walk, we can gain an opportunity to spend a few moments in the nature’s lap. Therefore, we must not overlook this occasion and go for a daily morning walk to maintain good health.
