Essay No. 01

The Annual Prize Distribution function of our school was held last Monday. Mr. Prem Kumar the Deputy Commissioner was the chief guest.

The faction started  at 10.00 am sharp. All the students, teachers and prize winners and their parents and other prominent citizens had already occupied their seats in the hall.

The chief guest was punctual to the minute. He was received at the gate by the welcome committee comprising the Principal, vice –Principal, President Managing Committee, some senior teachers and student representatives. He was taken to the hall    while the Principal  and the Vice-Principal flanked him. He was given a standing ovation in the hall.

The school had already been tastefully decorated with bunting and balloons. In the hall, first of all, the President of  School managing Committee made a short speech welcoming the  chief guest. Then  a cultural programmed was held. It comprised songs, hymns, histrionics, debates, skits, etc. 

The principal read out the annual report, highlighting the achievements of the school during the year in the matter of studies and extra-curricular activates. He also threw light on the projects in hand. He also mentioned certain financial problems and projects.

Before that, the chief guest gave away the prizes. He was glad that so many students of the school had won prizes in  various academic and  other activates.

In his speech the  chief guest expressed satisfaction over the progress made by the school during the year. He gave fifty thousand rupees to the school from his discretionary quota. He also promised to help the school in tiding over its finical problem in the near future.

Essay No. 02

The Prize Distribution Function

The prize distribution function of our school was held in month of September, 2007. It was held in the school playground.

The school was cleaned and decorated. Many preparations were made. The guardians of the students were invited. The prizes were placed on the table.

The Education Minister of our State was invited as a Chief Guest of the function. The Chief Guest arrived at 5 P.M.

He was warmly welcomed by the Principal and other staff members at the gate. The school band played a welcome tune.

Soon the programme started. The principal welcomed the chief guest. He thanked him for coming to the function. He request him to say a few words. The chief guest gave a short speech.

After this, the prize were given away by the chief guest. Many students got prizes. I was also one of the prize winners. All of us were very happy.

There are many interesting items. Many photographs were taken. The principal thanked the chief guest. The programme began with our national song.

The next day was announced a holiday. The function came to an end. We enjoyed the function very much.
