An encounter with robbers

          Last Sunday, I went to my uncle’s house in Green Park. My cousin’s marriage ceremony was to take place on Monday.

          In view of my cousin’s marriage, a good amount of gold jewellery and cash were there in my uncle’s house on Sunday. A number of other relatives had also come.

          Everything went well. All were making merry. The marriage party was to go for the bride’s house in Annand Vihar on Monday morning.

          Till late at night, there were songs and dances, then all went to bed. At midnight, the robbers struck. They were about ten in number. They were armed with blunt weapons and were carrying number. They were armed guns to scare the victims. The guns looked real and made a loud noise when the trigger was pressed.

          The robbers pulled out the gold ear rings the ladies in the house were wearing. In all they decamped with about one lakh rupees and thirty tolls of gold jeweler besides other valuables.

          I was sleeping in the kitchen for shortage of space. So the robbers did not see me. I at once rang up the police on my mobile phone. The police came within  no time and nabbed the robbers when they were running not he street. All the cash, jewellery and valuables were recovered from them and they were put behind the bars.
