Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is one of the greatest music composers of the West. He was a music genius who gave a new direction of the western music and also brought great improvement in it. In its beauty and purity of style, Mozart’s music is one of the greatest ever written. Mozart started his music career at a very early age, just in six and soon grew into a highly talented music composer. He won public esteem even while he was only thirteen years of age. Mozart toured through various countries of Europe and surprised people everywhere by his brilliance as a musician. Mozart showed his great talent in playing different musical instruments like harpsichord, piano, organ and violin.

Mozart was a prolific music composer and wrote over 600 works. Some of the most famous operas written by Mozart are as follows: ‘The Marriage of Figaro’, ‘Don Giovanni’, Casi Fan tutte’ and ‘Requiem Mass’. Besides, Mozart also wrote symphonies, concertos, chamber music and religious music.

Mozart was born on 27th January 1756, in Salzburg (Austria) in a well known family of musicians. Mozart studied philosophy and law. However, since his very childhood, Mozart showed signs of his great musical talent. Soon, he shot into fame as an ‘amazing little player’ Very few music composers have been so brilliantly gifted as Mozart. Though Mozart was a famous and well respected composer but it is an irony that he died in poverty. Mozart died in 1791 when he was only 35.
