Nurse Day is celebrated on the 12th of May in recognition of nurses throughout the world. May 12th is the birthday of Florence Nightingale, who was a dedicated nurse and had a passion for ailing and moaning persons. She visited the ailing patients not only during day time but also during night time and she called, “The Lady with the Lamp.”

Celebration of Nurse’s Day is a salute and recognition of the nursing profession. In the medical profession, nurses play a vital role, day and night.
