Sub. : Defective books and wrong billing
Dear Sir,
I took delivery of the parcel sent by you a couple of days back, after making a cash payment of Rs. 600/- to the postman. It was in response to my order for supply of some books, which I need, urgently to prepare for my N.D.A. Examination. Out of a total of six books ordered and billed for, one book, ‘A book of Essays, Letters and Paragraphs’, mentioned against serial number 6 in your bill, was not present in the parcel. Regarding the other two books, which I am sending back, ‘Manorama Year Book’ is of 2004 edition and from ‘Thesaurus’, many pages are missing and some are repeated. How can these books help me in the crucial preparation of my examination? My precious time is going to waste as I can’t study without these books. It is the mistake of your man who has packed the books. Over and above, you have not even given me any discount on the purchase.
Now, kindly arrange to replace the enclosed two books and send the missing book by return of mail. I expect a refund of at least Rs. 210/- from the p; :nent to make up for the discount @ Rs. 20/-.
Hoping for an early response,
Yours sincerely,
Anuj Verma
