ASL Topic Conversation between “Introducing the Family” Speaking Test.

In this lesson, Jitender has brought his friend Manish to his house and he introduces him to all the members of his family.

Jitender. This is my house, Manish.

Manish. It is a beautiful house.

Jitender. Please come into my house.  I shall introduce you to all the members of my family.

Manish. It will be my pleasure to be introduced to your family.

Jitender. Daddy, here is my friend, Manish Chopra. He is my class-fellow. Manish meet my father Mr. K.K. Kapur. He is a senior advocate.

Manish. Good morning, Uncle. It’s my pleasure to meet you.

Mr. Kapur. Good morning to you, Manish. We are very glad to meet you. What’s your father Manish?

Manish. Uncle, my father is a Major in the Army.

Mr. Kapur. Where do you live?

Manish. We are living at Green Park.

Jitender. Come here, Manish and meet my mother Mrs. Veena Kapur. She is an English Lecturer in the Government College. Mummy, he is my friend Manish. He is also studying in my class.

Mrs. Veena Kapur. Hello, Manish. I am glad to meet you.

Manish. Good morning, Aunty. It’s my pleasure to be introduced to you.

Mrs. Veena Kapur. What’s your mother, Manish?

Manish. Aunty, she is a television artist.

Mrs. Veena Kapur. Please bring her also some- times along with you.

Manish. O.K. Aunty, I must bring her on some occasion.

Mrs. Veena Kapur. How many brothers and sisters have you?

Manish. Aunty, I have one brother and one sister.

Jitender. Come on, Manish, now I shall introduce you to my elder brother. Manu Kapur. Manish, he is my elder brother He is a Captain in the Army. Dear brother, he is my classmate Manish Chopra.

Manish. Good morning, Captain Kapur.

Manu Kapur. Good morning to you Manish.

Jitender. Come here Manish, now meet my elder sister, Miss Meena Kapur, She is studying in M.A English. Meena, he is my fast friend and also my class fellow, Jitender Chopra.

Manish. Good morning, Miss Meena.

Miss Meena Kapur. Good morning, Mr. Jitender.

Mr. Kapur. Jitender, ask your friend Manish Chopra to take his lunch with us today.

Manish. No, thank you, dear uncle. I’ll come some other day. Today, I have not informed my parents.

Mr. Kapur. It’s all right. Do come someday. You are always welcome.

Manish. It will be my great pleasure to come, uncle.

Jitender. Come on Manish. Let me show you my study room before you go.

Manish. Let’s go.

Jitender. This is my study room.

Manish. It’s a very good room and you possess a lot of books.

Jitender. Would you mind having a quick cup of tea?

Manish. I won’t mind if you can get it really quickly.

Jitender. O.K. I shall ask my servant to bring two cups of tea quickly. Ramu! Oh, Ramu!

Ramu (the servant). Yes, Sir.

Jitender. Dear Ramu, please bring two cups of hot tea quickly. Also, bring some biscuits.

Ramu. I’ll bring in five minutes.

Manish. Jitender, now come to my house someday. Jitender. I’ll come whenever you invite me.

Manish. You are always welcome. I shall also introduce you to my family.

Jitender. O.K. I shall try to come next Sunday at 10.00 A.M.

Manish. It will be my pleasure.

(Ramu comes with tea and biscuits)

Ramu. Here’s the tea, Sir. I have also brought some biscuits for both of you.

Jitender. Thank you Ramu.

Manish. O.K. Jitender, now I have finished my tea and I want to go. My parents will be waiting for me for lunch.

Jitender. Thank you, for your visit to my house Manish.

Manish. I am really very glad to meet all the members of your family.

Jitender. O.K. See you tomorrow.

Manish. Good-bye.

Jitender. Bye bye.
