1. Last Sunday I went to circus with my family.
2. My father took us to the show. It was located on the Ramlila Maidan.
3. We bought the tickets and entered the huge tent.
4. At first there came two clowns in their funny blue and pink dresses.
5. One was dressed like a monkey, the other like a lion.
6. They performed many tricks and made the spectators laugh. Young girls rode single wheel cycles on ropes.
7. Then the elephants were brought in. They performed funny tricks. Then the tigers, lions, horses and a rhino performed wonderful feats.
8. They were all fascinating to watch. It was a new and wonderful experience.
9. We returned home, full of excitement and a sense of horror.
10. I can never forget it. I thanked my father for taking us to the show.

A Visit to A Circus

1. Last Sunday I went to an evening show. My father took us to the show. I had read much about a circus.
2. But I had never been to a show. It was held in a big ground. A huge tent was erected there. The place was brightly lighted with colourful lights.
3. There was a huge crowd of people. We bought the tickets and entered the huge tent.
4. The show started at 8.30 P.M. As we took our seats, the band began to play.
