1. One day, when the sun was high up in the sky, a fox came out of its hiding place in search of food. It was hungry.

2. While it was roaming the jungle it saw a bunch of juicy grapes hanging from a vine.

3. The fox looked at the grapes with longing eyes.

4. Its mouth began to water and it tried to reach the grapes by stretching itself.

5. The grapes were too high. Again and again, it jumped but could not get at the grapes.

6. It rested for some time and tried again. But even then it did not succeed.

7. The fox was very upset and angry.

8. It had wasted almost one precious hour trying to reach those grapes.

9. It could have got some other food at that hour.

10. It went away in disgust saying, “Those grapes may be juicy but I’m certain they are sour in taste”
