Imagine my surprise when the postman came home yesterday and gave me a parcel! When I read the address I saw it was from you! I opened it eagerly and was thrilled to see the books. You really should not have taken so much trouble to buy them for me. I had forgotten our conversation about the “Winnie the Pooh” series, but obviously you had not.
Thank you very much indeed! It is the best birthday present I have got. I wish you were here for the party. I really missed you!
