Respected Uncle,

Thanks for your kind and loving letter, giving me an option for resorts to enjoy my coming vacation according to my liking. Frankly speaking, your great offer is like an unsolicited, surprising gift on my success in the Examination !

I have heard a lot about the great beauty of the beaches in Goa and have been longing for quite some time to spend sometime there. But since I crave for an immediate relief from the heat of the National Capital, my preference is for your villa at Ooty.

Dear Uncle, I have already been to different beaches at Chennai, Mumbai and Kovalam from time to time; but never to a famous hill resort like Ooty. I have seen it only in pictures and feel captivated at its beauty. I am anxious to have a joy ride in the Blue train, going zig zag on the steep terrain and try at boating in the lake. Going on a horse ride is another long-cherished wish, which I desire to fulfil. I want to get myself lost in the majestic beauty of Ooty from Dodabetta Park. If possible, a visit to the Wellingdon Staff College of the Army would also be quite inviting, as it would enable me to see personally how our officers are trained ! After all, my own ambition too is to serve in the army one day, or the other.

Looking forward to spending some fruitful time, filled with joy and excitement in your and respected aunt Shelly’s company.

With warm regards, Obediently yours,

Thomas Varghese
