Baltic Sea

Baltic Sea is situated in the Northern European Sea. On Lifts boundaries lies Sweden, Finland, Russia, Estonia, Lithuania, Poland, North Eastern Germany and Eastern Denmark. It has got its own several groups of islands too. In the north lies Ireland Island, having Finland Basin in the east, joining Baltic Sea with St. Petersburg and Russia. In south and southern east, it forms two basins. In the west, its water gets mixed with Northern Sea via Kattegat Basin. The total area of the Baltic Sea is 4,22,200 square kilometer, with an average depth of 55 meter and the deepest point is Island of Gotland with depth of 421 meter.
