Sir,
Kindly publish the following a few lines in the “Letters Column” of your esteemed paper.
These days are examination days. The students appearing in various examinations are burning midnight oil day in and day out. But the DVB (Delhi Vidyut Board) is quite unmindful of our real problem. The electricity trips quite often. It sends the total population of Delhi into darkness. The electric current does not return for hours. Sometime the whole night passes without electricity. What a grim situation of the capital city? This frequent breakdown leads to a lot of trouble. The students cannot study. The mills and factories working for the night shifts go work less. The thieves and house-breakers have a heyday. They steal and escape under the cover of darkness. It looks as if they are hands and gloves with the DVB staff.
It has been reported to the DVB authorities time and again, but in vain. The situation is worsening day by day. To whom the sufferers should go for redressal of our difficulty? As a last resort, we now approach the higher authorities through this paper to look into the problem and take steps to rid the people of this city of this problem.
Yours faithfully
Residents of Patel Nagar
