Respected Father,

I got your letter yesterday. I was happy to read the contents. Our annual examination is fast approaching. There is a very short time left. I feel weak in various topics in Science and Maths. You know I had to miss some classes due to my illness last month. I fear lest I should not be able to do well in my papers. Therefore, I want the services of a good tutor who will coach me in the weak subjects.

Dear Papa, I know you will not be happy to allow for that and further it would be an extra burden on your purse but I think I cannot help it. Besides I am not very strong in body yet because of the illness and so I cannot put in extra labour by studying late into the night. All my friends are quite confident in their performance. I feel shy to stand before them, so the only alternative for me is to engage a tutor.

I assure you on my part to take the best advantage from the services of the tutor and get through my board examination with flying colours.

Kindly arrange to send the money for the services of the tutor as soon as possible.
