10 Lines on “The Cage” Story

1. There was once a beautiful parrot called Polly.

2. She lived in a golden cage. She had everything a parrot could want but was still unhappy.

3. She longed to be free and roam the sky.

4. After all, what good was this cage, where she was a prisoner? She missed her friends terribly.

5. One day Polly noticed that the servant who usually brought her food had forgotten to shut the cage.

6. She waited till he had gone away, then put her beak near the little door and pushed it open, bit by bit.

7. When there was enough space to let her out, Polly flew as fast as she could – out into the blue sky.

8. She soon joined her friends who were delighted to have her back.

9. It was a joyful reunion.

10. Should we not let the birds fly free instead of caging them? Is not freedom the greatest gift of life?
