1. Up-down. Up-down. Up-down… I keep swinging up and down every day, every hour, and every minute.

2. Sometimes children swing on me, and sometimes the breeze swings me.

3. It is a great feeling to move in the air.

4. My life began many years ago in this big garden.

5. One fine day, my master swung me from the branch of a huge neem tree. The children, Mark, Mick, and Mini, sat together on me.

6. Their father gave me a gentle push and the children started swinging on me up and down, high and low, forward and backward.

7. They laughed with joy and excitement.

8. Other children from the neighbourhood joined them. They quarreled amongst themselves as to who should sit on me first.

9. Since that day, my life has been swinging with the breeze.

10. Mark, Mick and Mini are now grown up and in college, but they still love to swing me, up and down, high and low.
