Chandigarh dated 11 Dec. 2014. A delegation of Joint Action Committee (JAC) of UT teachers Chandigarh under the leader ship of convener Sh. Bhag Singh Kairon, secretary Sh. Ranbir Rana and under chairman ship of Mr. Kaushik, General secretary BJP , Chandigarh unit met education secretary Sh. Sarvjit Singh IAS today and apprised him about the various long pending demands of UT teachers , Chandigarh
A long and healthy discussion on all demands was held. The main demands discussed in the meeting are “Release of DA to all contract teachers including SSA ,Guest faculty w.e.f 1st July,2014 along with arrear of salary, Promotion of all cadre teachers on yearly basis , Pay parity o0f vocational lecturers with guest faculty , Regularisation of contract/ SSA and Guest Faculty teachers , Job Security and enhancement of Salary to STT and volunteer teachers, Preparing and releasing of Seniority list of all cadre of teachers , lecturers , headmasters and principals, Pursuing the cases of SSA in MHRD by some senior officer, Filling the Director and Dy. Director Posts on priority basis approved by MHRD, Taking over the computer teachers from SPIC and merger of SSA and computer teachers in Education department by getting the posts sanctioned.
The Hon’ble secretary assured the delegation for favourable and immediate consideration of all demands on priority basis and even worthy enough being given immediate written directions/not to all concerned officials / departments for favourable and immediate consideration.
The delegation also included Sarvshri Savinder Singh Co-convener, Khushali Ram Sharma (advisor JAC), Arvind Thakur (SSA )Joint Secretay and Naib Singh.
The delegation expressed their special gratitude to State BJP unit and Special thanks to Mr. Kaushik General secretary of State BJP for their sincere efforts in favour of demands of UT teachers.
