Frequent electric breakdown are a great nuisance these days. They hit particularly the student community.
The students are assets to society. The government should keep their interest in mind. During an electric breakdown, particularly if it takes place near the examinations, the students are unable to study. This break in studies makes them forget even what they already have learnt.
The electric breakdowns affect other people also. Work in hospitals, factories and offices comes to a standstill. Even emergent operations cannot be performed. Tubewells also cannot work and thus crops go dry.
It is for this reason that a comprehensive policy on electric supply to all areas and sections of society should be devised.
