Conversation on the Topic “Importance of Games” for Class 9, 10, 11 and 12 Students.

John: Where are you going, Sonia?

Sonia: I am going to the club, John.

John: What do you do there?

Sonia: I play tennis there with my friend, Rita.

John: Do you play tennis every day?

Sonia: Yes. It keeps my body and mind fit. Do you play any game John?

John: Yes, Sonia

Sonia: Which games do you play?

John: I play cricket and football to keep my body fit and healthy.

Sonia: I think games are essential for good health.

John: You are right, Mary. Games are essential for everybody.

Sonia: But some people do not play any game. They do not realize the importance of games.

John: But such people always suffer from one or the other ailment.

Sonia: You are absolutely right, John.

John: I think Mary, games should be made compulsory for the students.

Sonia: I agree. Games will keep the students healthy and teach them discipline.

John: Discipline is very essential for the progress of an individual as well as the nation as a whole.

Sonia: It is rightly said that all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy.

John: According to Swami Vivekananda, only a healthy mind can realize God.

Sonia: But a healthy mind can live only in a healthy body. For keeping a healthy body, games are very important.

John: Games also teach us the spirit of sportsman-ship.

Sonia: I agree with you. Games also develop the quality of leadership among the students.

John: Health is wealth, is an old saying. Therefore, to maintain our health we must play games.

Sonia: Yes. You are right. May I take leave of you now? I am getting late for my tennis game.

John: With great pleasure. I don’t want to detain you.

Sonia: See you again.

John: Goodbye.

Sonia: Bye-bye.
