Paragraph on “Why do bees dance?” complete paragraph for Class 9, Class 10, Class 11 and Class 12
Why do bees dance?
Honey bees take nectar and pollen from bright, open flowers like buttercups, daisies and roses. The whole life of the hive depends upon the worker bees finding the right sort of flowers, so they send scouts out to hunt for them.
When they return, the scouts show the workers where to go by performing a ‘dance’ on the comb. The round dance means that food is nearby. The wiggly dance means that it is more than too metres away. If the bee dances up the comb, as the collection of cells is called, it means that the food is in the direction of the sun. If the bee dances, say, 20 degrees to the right of this straight line, it means that the food is 20 degrees to the right of the sun.
