1. Of all of the games I play, football is my favourite. To start with, let me first tell you, where football can be played best.
2. You need a large patch of level ground, where the players can run freely. The boundaries of the football ground should be clearly marked.
3. A straight line divides the ground, and in the centre of the ground, a circle is marked. Four goalposts are required, two at each end of the field.
4. Each team has eleven players on its side. The teams are divided into five forwards, three half-backs, two full-backs, and one goalkeeper.
5. A coin is tossed to decide on which half of the ground either team will play.
6. The players must try to kick the ball between the goalposts of the opposite team. When this takes place, a goal is scored.
