With Thomas Edison’s discovery of the electric bulb, towns and cities got a new look completely. This was because of the entry of electrical power into the design of the city.
Cover the whole city and think about how the city would have perhaps looked, without all the electric accessories, like the light posts and wires.
Would the lit-up signposts be there?
The television antennae? Streetlights?
What about the television cables and light posts? Wouldn’t the entire city look very different?
Once you have made this round, draw out your neighbourhood, as you saw it and also make another drawing without any of the appliances, so that you can know, how it would look without these.
