Recycling
Materials Required:
- Empty boxes (cereal, noodles, sugar, cracker etc.)
- Paper and pencil
Many companies use recycled cardboard and papers to package their products these days. The recycled boxes have symbols on them indicating they are recyclable.
The boxes which have been recycled are grey in colour on the inside as compared to the non-recycled boxes. Collect various food boxes, such as cereal, noodles, sugar, cracker, pet food. Write the product names on a piece of paper and make a note if they are recycled or not.
The box that has been recycled will bear a symbol on it. Also check the colour of the box inside, where there is no printing. Study your notes now and see if the recycled boxes were grey in colour. Are there any boxes that were grey coloured and still didn’t have the recycled sign on them?
Find out what ‘recycled’ means in packaging. Is the whole material recycled or does it involve only a section of recycled product? As a habit begin to recycle material like glass bottles, aluminium cans etc.
