Respected Judges and my fellow debators. I stand here to argue in favour of the topic that a Career counselor and not you yourself can help you choose the best profession for you.
A career counselor is an individual trained to aid people with their career choice. Beginning with interviews to determine their students’ skills, underlying drive, and personality traits, the career counselor gains an understanding to better serve them in their search for the right career. They create the most profitable match possible in terms of job satisfaction and monetary earnings in the long run. Career counselors are responsible for having knowledge of the skills needed in various fields, the average salary of each field, and the requirements of each field. A student of 17 or 18 years does not have the age, experience, training, and insights of a trained counselor. No wonder students often choose inappropriate streams and careers and repent later. Thus, they waste time and energy and get stuck with poorly thought-out choices. I reiterate that counselors alone can give you the best career advice. With this, I end my arguments.
