To

            The Editor,

            The Times of India,

            New Delhi.

Sir,

Kindly publish the following in the esteemed columns of your Daily.

I have been closely monitoring the development in respect of relationship between India and Pakistan. It is true that his relationship has been one of animosity, ill-will and mutual hatred for the last many years. But things have changed in a big way on the international scene. The world is shrinking into a global village. Hostilities amongst such close neighbors as India and Pakistan are not relevant in today’s world. Both the countries can progress in a big way if they learn and decide to co-exist in a honorable friendly way to each other’s mutual advantage. The confidence Building Measures initiated by the two governments have already generated a lot of goodwill. We need to have liberal approach on the issue. Narrow, fanatic, parochial thinking must give way to internationalism and liberal thinking. It would be in the interest of both countries to learn to live amicably as good neighbors.

            With thanks,

Yours truly,
